BWC: All advanced materials products under one roof
When the name BIESSE is mentioned, the first association of most people is woodworking machines, a segment in which this Italian multinational corporation is the absolute leader in the regional market, with an estimated share of over 60 percent. However, on a global level, BIESSE is also one of the leading manufacturers of machines for the processing of composite materials, as well as glass, metal and stone. The awareness that we live in a world where almost every product is multi-material, and that from a business point of view it is most rational that as many technologies used in production come from a reliable partner, with developed service support and efficient supply of spare parts, is slowly starting to develop in our market as well.
The company Budapest – Wien – Chemicals (BWC) from Ugrinovci was one of the first to recognize the technological potential of BIESSE machines in the processing of polymer pressed plates.
We are a family company founded in 1992. Initially, we were engaged in the distribution of raw materials for the plastic and rubber industry, but as the company grew, so did our activity, so in 2005 we entered the segment of processing plastics using pressing technology and finishing the thus obtained large-format plastic plates. Through all these years of experience and adaptation to market conditions, we have become a modern company that is ready to face new challenges, explains Dragana Škundrić, CEO Assistant of BWC.
The first BIESSE machining center for advanced materials, the three-axis Rover A Plast FT 1531, was installed in the production facilities of this company at the end of 2021. This year, BWC further improved its technological capabilities by acquiring the five-axis Rover A 2231 FT, a machine that has one of the best performances in this segment. Investments in the latest generation equipment allowed the BWC company to further improve the quality of production and thus strengthen its position, primarily on the foreign market, where their products are highly valued. The portfolio of the company Budapest – Wien – Chemicals is really impressive.
Our plastic products have a very wide range of applications, Mrs. Škundrić points out. For the mechanical and automotive industry, we produce various mechanical components, as well as washers for cranes, truck cranes. We manufacture products for soil protection, temporary roads, platforms and parking lots, helipads, dock buffers. We supply the chemical industry with filter plates for filter presses and components for coating silos. We are also present in the leather and footwear industry through cutting boards for tailoring, in the food industry our solutions are used for coating work surfaces for food preparation, as well as stumps and cutting boards: we have even found a place in the entertainment and sports segment by creating completely safe children’s playgrounds and artificial ice rinks.

Cooperation with Top Tech Woodworking and Biesse
For Biesse, we received recommendations from the wood industry, considering that the same technology is also used in the plastics industry. After the first contacts with the Biesse team, we came to the conclusion that it is a serious company with serious references, so we easily decided in favor of this brand.
So far, we have extremely positive experiences working on our Biesse machines with all kinds of materials, even the most demanding ones.
We are also more than satisfied with the after-sales support provided by the company Top Tech Woodworking, with whom we expect continued successful cooperation in the future.
