Participation of Top Tech Woodworking at the 61st International Fair of Machines and Tools for the Wood Industry
The 61st Fair of Machines and Tools for the Wood Industry, traditionally held as a side event of the Belgrade Furniture Fair, has ended. See what our stand looked like here:
Read the impressions of the director of TOP TECH WOODWORKING, Mrs. Marijana Petrović, about this year’s Fair, which she presented in the new issue of Drvotehnika magazine:
This year, the collapse of the event, which once, along with the Book Fair and the Car Fair, was the most important manifestation of the Belgrade Fair, reached its peak.
The desperate attendance and the absence of almost all major exhibitors, and never less the exhibition area of this year’s Furniture Fair, speak of this. And that small number of participants from both sides, most of them left visibly dissatisfied and there is a big question mark whether they will return next year.
The reasons can be found in many places: a bad schedule that moves from year to year and almost overlaps with larger European events of this type, no media promotion of the Fair itself, high costs for visitors and exhibitors that do not justify the presence of either of them in any way, the absence of any new content, etc.
Whether it is carelessness, negligence or incompetence is not something that we as an exhibitor need or want to evaluate, but it seems that the Furniture Fair and the accompanying Wood Industry Tools and Machinery Fair have been left to slowly shut down by themselves.
This year, despite the fact that everything indicated that things would turn out as they did in the end, we invested a lot of energy to make our space look like an event like this deserves it: both in terms of the exhibited technologies, and the appearance of the stand itself, accompanying content and event promotion.
If something positive can be taken from everything, it is that this year’s Fair will be a turning point for our company: although the visit to our stand was even better than last year, it became clear that we can and must use the resources we have much more productively, above all in the field of digitization and reorganization of our promotional activities, even if it meant abandoning some traditions that we have been a part of for a very long time.
With all this in mind, I would like to thank, on behalf of the TOP TECH WOODWORKING company and myself, all the partners who have spared their time to be our guests again this year, which is a gesture that may not seem significant, but is something we really appreciate, especially in these circumstances.
Sincerely,
Marijana Petrović,
Director of Top Tech Woodworking
